Head of Hospital Service of Medical Paediatrics (since 1987);
Responsible for the Immuno-Hematology Unit of Dona Estefânia Hospital (since 1996);
Head of a Paediatric Emergency Team (1990-2002);
Guest Assistant of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medical Sciences of Lisbon;
Chairman of the Haematology/Oncology Section of the Portuguese Society of Paediatrics (until 1996);
Member of the National Hemoglobinopathies Control Group (PT);
Member of the Executive Group of the European Forum on HIV/AIDS Children and Families;
Founding member of the Portuguese Association for the Clinical Study of AIDS (APECS);
Executive Member of the European Paediatric Network for Haemophilia Management;
